This accessibility statement applies to recordoffice.org.uk, which is run by Leicestershire County Council.

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

Non-accessible content

  • 1.1.1 Non-text Content
    Some images on the website are missing alternative text, which should be defined using the ‘alt’ attribute.
    These have been fixed where possible at a template level, but images within content and listing will need to be manually edited by LCC to set alt text as required.
  • 4.1.1 Parsing
    Multiple pages contain non-semantic heading structures, meaning heading levels (e.g. Heading 2, Heading 3) are skipped in the structure of the page.
    Content will need to be revised across the website by LCC.
  • 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value
    When an image is the only content of a link, alternative text is needed in order to provide screen readers with context.
    This will be fixed by the resolving the missing alt text covered by 1.1.1 Non-text Content described above.

This statement was prepared on 20th July 2026. It was last reviewed on 20th July 2026.

This website was last tested on 17th July 2026. The test was carried out by Cyber Media Solutions Ltd, our website provider, who selected a sample of pages to test based on content type and page templates. The site was tested using a combination of automated tools and manual testing.
